How are the RTS pre and post data delay configured in a DIGI C/CON 16. Are they done by the unit itself or are they configured by software in the driver for the serial PCI board. We have a problem with some SCADA equipment we have purchased which has a post data delay on RTS of 25-40ms which is causing us grief.
Not sure if this is tunable with this product. What O.S.?
The OS is SUN UNIX. We have contacted supplier a rather large US SCADA company, but they claim they cannot change it in code??? But I am not convinced about that.
Unfortunately, it appears the values of 25-40ms are exactly what would be expected with this product line.
You may want to consider having a look at Digi’s PortServer TS/Digi One product line. A recent change adds RTS toggle support with the Solaris RealPort driver that may be better suited in your environment.
