SCO and Linux differences

We’re using AccelePort C/X PCI boards with C/CON 16 modules with attached Wyse 55 terminals, with the dgap-1.3-6 driver. The application we’re running uses curses. We recently converted from SCO OpenServer 5.0.6 to CentOS 4.4 (RH 4), and the users have noticed a difference in keyboard response. Under SCO, they could type ahead of the display, entering keystrokes intended for screens well before they displayed. Under Linux, it seems that keystrokes aren’t accepted until the screen is completely refreshed. Has anyone else experienced these differences? I’ve had no luck messing with curses, stty or terminfo (but I haven’t ruled those out), so I wondered if it might be a driver issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

My best recommendation would be to compare the ditty -a settings between the working SCO port and the non-working Linux port. If this does not pan out, you should contact Digi Tech. Support to pursue this further.
