Ubuntu: No XCTU application appears, instead of XCTU.desktop

Details of the required to install XCTU in Ubuntu:

Steps:
1)$ CD downloads

3)$ Password login OK
4)$ ls 40002881_AB.run
5)$ ./40002881_AB.run
6) Create directory Apps under under Home Directory
7) Digi XCTU installation began
8) Follow instructions to install XCTU in Apps.
9) In the finished page during the last stage installation, Launch XCTU is ticked.
10) XCTU installation ended and XCTU window appear to be running smmothly and It can works.
11) After it is closed.

Then I saw the new icon, “XCTU.Desktop” on the wall paper.

When I wanted to open XCTU application again, I cannot find XCTU icon in Ubuntu’s Show Application. Thinking that the icon XCTU.Desktop may be the executable program. Instead, it opens up and show code that looks like Terminal script program. Please see the attached picture.

Where is it that I can see like it in the Microsoft Window?
I am not sure where is the XCTU program in Ubuntu like in the window.
I cannot tell which XCTU program is in the new Apps folder?

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

The app should be in the applications\Digi folder.

Finally, I found the “app” in the XCTU-NG folder that is executable. However, with the script on the XCTU.desktop, it does not work. In the end, every time I have to open app, I would navigate to XCTU-NG folder instead of “Show application”.

I would suggest creating a new shortcut to the executable.
