what is the limit on the number of Digi TS port servers to one WinXP PC? I am needing to connect up to 40 remote IP Digiboard TS port servers in the future on a Windows PC and would prefer to use a WinXP and wanted to confirm if anyone sees any issues with this.

The maximum number of COM ports that can be installed is 4096 (a limitation in both the driver and Windows).

The only limitations will be in the Memory and Processing power of the PC. The amount of each used greatly depends on the application (i.e. if it’s trying to use all the ports at once, it’s a polling application or creates a thread for each COM port, etc).
