when to use reset pin

I understrand the RST pin doesn’t reset the parameters in NVRAM. It simply repowers the device.

When should this be used?

There are many times when Reset pin is used. I can think of these:

  1. When module is not responding.
  2. To wake up End Device immediately which is middle of sleep state.
  3. to restart application running on programmable xbee modules.
  4. to restart network joining on Routers and End devices.
