Hello there
I am learning about the digi Wi-me modules with a view to specifying them in a new product.
One thing that is not clear to me is what 802.11 standards are supported.
This page, for the digi connect wi-me module,
Says at the top “Integrated secure 802.11bgn Wi-Fi WLAN support”
but on the specs tab, it says “IEEE 802.11b”.
The main user guide for the Digi Connect Family user’s guide:
http://www.digi.com/pdf/prd_ds_digiconnectfamily_usersguide.pdf
says ‘802.11b’ for Wi-Me (pp. 11), but on pp. 173, 802.11/b/g is referred to.
Then, this link:
http://www.digi.com/products/wireless-wired-embedded-solutions/solutions-on-module/digi-connect/
says “…Instantly network-enable your products using Digi’s interchangeable 32-bit ARM networking modules with integrated support for Ethernet and fully pre-certified 802.11b Wi-Fi connectivity”
and on the store, for DC-WME-01T-C:
http://store.digi.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=564
it says: “Wireless 802.11b network interface”
So for the module DC-WME-01T-C, is 802.11b only supported, or 802.11b/g/n?
Thanks for any clarification.
Regards
