Xbee WiFi s6 refused to send OK

My Xbee WiFi s6 refused to send OK back to my micro when issue with +++ command. I have 9600bps, 8bit, 1 stop bit, and no parity set up for both my micro and Xbee. In addition, the flow control is disabled.

The Xbee WiFi does reply to AT command when interfacing with X-CTU(through UART), so I thought there must be something do with my micro controller set up.

However, it doesn’t seem to be the case. When I hooked up my old Xbee S1 to my micro with same exact program and setup, it send “OK” back to my micro controller without problem.

What can possibly be wrong?

Hello Swashia,

Make sure you are conditioning the VCC line using a 540 - 680uF capacitor. The S6 requires this for inrush current issues.
