XBee3 MicroPython: is transmit() blocking or nonblocking?..

im using transmit() in my micropython upload to transmit to the coordinator who is attached to the PC / Python main program.

It is blocking currently.

is there an option in micropython to send that is not blocking? for the xbee 3 zigbee
