I tried to work through the forum advice on installing the DIGI AccelePort 8e ISA card on a fresh build of MS Windows 2003 Standard Server.
- I verified hardware setup with the DIGI DOS util
- reserved I/O, MEM & set aside an IRQ in the PC BIOS
- delete the native driver files
- used INF from 40002207_b.zip on Http://www.digi.com/support/productdetl.jsp?pid=1360&osvid=56
The multiport serial adapter installs, but dumps all of its ports to OTHER DEVICES. I tried defining these OTHER DEVICES as “DIGI RealPort” ports which moves the objects to PORTS in Device Manager, but I can not seem to use assign them to a modem, they simply do not show up in the list of ports to choose from.
I feel I am missing “the last step” … any thoughts as to what I left out or what I may have messed up?
