accelerometer.py sample script not working on x-trak 3

I’ve installed the sample acccelerometer script that comes with the digi python sdk on my x-trak 3. Sensor readout works, but the callback function is never called. Anyone any idea?

I did see that the digihw python module has two functions to activate vibration sensors. Tried these too, no avail.

How do I get the sample from Digi ESP for Python to work?

I did manage to get SMS communication to work (two ways), HTTP REST interfaces etc.
