Anywhereusb 2 and Sentinel HL license dongle when using Windows RDC

I have a newly purchased AnywhereUSB 2 Plus, updated to firmware 24.3.28.87. I’ve been trying to get it work for a Sentinel HL USB license dongle when remoting into the computer, which is running Windows Serve 2022. The software can pickup the license when I log into the computer locally, but doesn’t work when there is a RDC.

I know there have been several similar questions in the past, but none since ~2016. I’ve checked those and they often link to KB entries that don’t seem to work anymore.

Attached is a screenshot of the Anywhereusb manager. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Good morning,

Could you post the URLs to the non-working KB articles that you found?

Regarding troubleshooting the Sentinel / RDC issue, it’s probably best for you to create a support case by emailing tech.support@digi.com since there’s no particular fix that comes to mind.

This was the post I was referring to

In which there’s link to this KB and the link doesn’t work

http://knowledge.digi.com/articles/Knowledge_Base_Article/USB-license-dongle-attached-to-AnywhereUSB-cannot-be-found-by-related-software

Thanks for this info, we’ll try to get that KB / URL fixed.

I’m not sure where you found that URL but this one is working for me:

https://www.digi.com/support/knowledge-base/usb-license-dongle-attached-to-anywhereusb-cannot

Note that this is an older KB article for a different product, the older AnywhereUSB (you have the Plus, which is different).
