Hello,
We are experiencing an issue with a Digi AnywhereUSB 2 Plus Industrial device.
Firmware version:
24.9.79.151 (12 Nov 2024)
Environment:
- AnywhereUSB 2 Plus Industrial
- Ubuntu 24.04 Linux clients
- AnywhereUSB Manager 3.1.38.1
- Two smart card tokens connected (Circle CCR7115 ICC)
Configuration:
Group 1:
- Port 1
Group 2:
- Port 2
Clients:
Client ID: ebmidsiguat
Group Access: 1
Client ID: ebmidsigprod
Group Access: 2
Observed behaviour:
If both Port 1 and Port 2 are assigned to Group 1, the PROD client successfully receives both USB devices and AnywhereUSB Manager logs show:
Device 1101 BOUND to connection 1
Device 1102 BOUND to connection 1
Linux can see the devices via lsusb and smart card middleware works correctly.
However, when Port 1 is assigned to Group 1 and Port 2 is assigned to Group 2:
- Group 2 never appears under “Groups in Use”
- Client “ebmidsigprod” never receives the USB device
- lsusb on the PROD server does not show the smart card reader
- No device BOUND messages appear in AnywhereUSB Manager logs
- Connection to the AnywhereUSB server remains established:
10.x.x.x:1xxxx connected as connection 1 (secure)
Additional information:
- Network connectivity is working correctly.
- Client certificates are available and trusted.
- PROD client is successfully connected to the AnywhereUSB device.
- The token connected to Port 2 is visible in the AnywhereUSB web interface.
- Functionality works immediately when both ports are assigned to Group 1.
Question:
Is there any additional configuration required for multi-group operation?
Should a client assigned to Group 2 appear under “Groups in Use” when the group is active?
Are there any known firmware issues related to Group Access or USB port group assignments?
Thank you.
Milena
