AT command set

Ok another document issue/question.

Reference the XBee/XBee-PRO ZB RF Modules document #90000976 that covers the modules with 2xxx firmware.

There seems to be good information on the frame structure of the API for the firmware versions at support API. But not a good short-cut list to use as a quick reference (guess I need to make one).

Does the API firmware (so router -23xx) support AT command structure or only the AT commands through an API frame?

The above stated document does not have a list and explanation of the AT commands. There is a Command Description list in the XBee/XBee-PRO OEM RF Module document #90000982. I guess these apply the the ZB 2xxx firmware modules except that a few commands that I see in the X-CTU Modem Configuration are not listed (CI, ZS, NH, etc).
Am I looking at the correct place for a list and description of these AT commands?
What about the missing commands?

So far I have extracted information on some of the missing commands (parameters) from the X-CTU Modem Configuration output.

The documents are very confusing as to which document applies and then finding the relevant information within the document is difficult.

I am still in the learning how all this works stage. Most likely I’ll be running routers and end device in with AT firmware as I didn’t see the need to send/receive API command. This may change later as I get closer to knowing how I want the tasks done.

The 90000982 document covers the Series 1 XBees with 802.15.4 firmware. I’d expect some of the AT commands to be the same, but I wouldn’t rely on it. The module functionality is very different.

The 90000976 document does have a list of AT commands: chapter 10 beginning on page 113. Is that what you were looking for? If not, perhaps you could be more specific.

Thanks.
I never did see that table and yes, that is what I am looking for.
I also just found Appendix D on page 135. From this I see that the firmware supports either the AT command structure or the API command structure but not both. I also assume that all of the AT commands can be used in the API frame types 0x08 and/or 0x09.

I really don’t want to print out several 138 plus page documents. I prefer to just print a few select pages that have condensed reference information.

Thanks again for the answers.

Sorry for the question, but where can I find these documents?

Ggarza,

Any of the manuals can be found by going to http://www.digi.com/support/supporttype.jsp?tp=3 and selecting the product in question.
