Hi there. I have 2 XB2B WF modules S6B. One, with the antenna has stuck and doesn’t response. I tried to reprogramm it and nothing works. Module is alive and reprogramming is proceed but in end all settings set to last that i programmed. How do i know that? I programmed DIO 11 and 12 as PWM0 and 1 outputs and indicator LEDs on DEV board turns on again. Tried to reset, all available solutions in documentations, but nothing. Need help. Sorry for mistakes, don’t know english well.
There is some steps i tried.
I connect my XBIB-U-SS board to computer with USB cable. The LED Indicator (Yellow, Green and Red) no lit, same RSSI Indicator.
Indicator LEDs DS5, DS2, DS3 glow on DEV board.
Then open X-CTU, set:
Baud rate 9600
Flow control NONE
Data bits 8
Parity NONE
Stop Bits 1
Pressing Test button and see window: Action Required, Unable to communicate with modem.
Pushing Reset button for 2 sec. Nothing.
Then I go to modem configuration tab.
Pressing Read button and see window: Action Required, Unable to communicate with modem.
Pushing Reset button for 2 sec. Nothing.
Then I check “Always Update Firmware”.
In Modem choose: XB2B-WF.
Function set: XBEE WI-FI SMT.
Version: 2021.
In “Parameter View” group box I press button “Show Defaults”.
Clicking Write and see window: Action Required, Unable to communicate with modem.
Push Reset button for 2 sec.
See: Found bootloader active reprogramming firmware, and “programming modem”, blue scale that gradually filled.
Indicator LEDs DS5 is still burning. Indicator LEDs DS2, DS3 no lit for a while.
When programming is done I see window: Action Required, Unable to communicate with modem. Indicator LEDs DS2, DS3 on DEV board lights again. Indicator LEDs DS5 is still burning.
I need the LED Indicator “Red: Associate” on DEV board - illuminated. That would mean the module is ok again? Right?
What should I do?
Hello Zerorc,
Have you tried with the latest version of XCTU? Download it from [url=http://www.digi.com/xctu]here[/here] (version 6.1.0).
Hello Spastor,
I spoke with the support and I’m afraid the module is broken. Too bad. Thanks for answer.
Sorry to hear that.
