I am using the Digi Xbee3 Cellular LTE-M module. In my design, I also support other Ublox SARA-R4 based modules. Only one would ever be populated on my board at any given time. On one of the other modules, I configure GPIO1 of the Ublox radio with the Network Status Indication functionality. I would like to avoid having to use a configuration parameter to differentiate between the two modules and am wondering if there is any reason why I should not configure GPIO1 of the Ublox Radio with the Network Status Indication functionality on the Xbee3. I understand that it will not provide any benefit, but it will allow me to generically configure the two modules.
