I have a master xbee which works in API mode. And all my sensor nodes work in AT mode. I want them to work transparently for easy use with a specific hardware. I have specified the destination address for all of them as the master xbee’s address. If one of the destination nodes is out of sight from the master xbee, but is close to one of the other sensor nodes, will the packet generated by it reach the master by generating a mesh.
If you are using one of the Mesh based versions of the XBee and related firmware, then yes it will.
