Im trying to modify a Port Server with suggestions found in a knowledge base article but it does not seem to help. When I download the backup file after I load my modified configuration file, the changes I made were not evident. The knowledge base article mentions logging into the root prompt of the unit, is this merely through a SSH connection?
Yes, the configuration is plain text. You can simply paste the configuration (changes) from the root prompt of the PortServer unit either via SSH or telnet.
A reboot may be needed for certain changes to take effect on the unit.
Additionally, the configuration can be displayed/copied by typing “cpconf term” from the root prompt.
