ConnectPort continues to grab lowest COM port after uninstalling

Hi,

I am running Windows XP and had the Drop in networking software installed (including RealPort). I’ve uninstalled the software but I continue to see a COM port in use by “ConnectPort” in the Device Manager.
What process or program handles this - or what do I need to stop or remove ?

Thanks,
Richard

Make sure you uninstall “Connect Port” in device manager. That should free up the Com port then. Realport is the entity holding the com port.
