Current measure

Hello, can I take the output of a transmitter, which deliver 4-20 ma, and connecting directly to input of the A / D converter’s BL2600 Wolf to measure current flow ?

On the BL2600, the first four analog inputs (AN0-AN3) have jumpers to allow them to support a 4-20mA current loop and can be tied directly to a sensor or transmitter which powers the loop. If the sensor does not provide power to the loop, then you would need to provide a power source to the loop. You must set the appropriate jumper(s) on JP6 to add the load resistor(s) necessary to complete the current loop(s) you intend to use. The BL2600 analog ground is used as the other side of the current loop. See table A-2 on page 84 of the user’s manual for the jumper settings. Look at the ADC_CAL_MA.C and AD_RD_MA.C sample programs for examples of calibrating and reading these inputs in software.
