Digi Connect ME Firmware

Hi
Is there a current firmware for the Digi Connect ME that supports SSL? I currently have the following firmware:

Model:Digi Connect ME
Firmware: 2.8.2.6 (Version 82001116_K6 04/20/2017)

Thanks for your help

Open the web interface and check under Configuration > Network > Network Service settings.
You might see that it allows SSL connections for TCP socket mode:

However above picture was done for the Connect ME 4MB flash with the newer unique password firmware 82004424

The 82001116_K6 firmware is the latest PnP firmware for the Connect ME with 2MB flash. It might not support SSL due to the size limitations.

Also if it supports SSH on tcp sockets connection to get serial i/o, this does not include that it might support HTTPS://

The obsolete Connect ME ARM7 has a very old and slow CPU. Using SSL if possible at all will put the CPU to it’s limits, so it would be very slow.

Be aware that the 82001116_K6 firmware has Treck Stack which is vulnerable to Ripple20. You should run the 2MB module with the much older but not vulnerable firmware: 82000856_F7.bin
