Digi IX20 data throughput dropping during background script execution?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently testing a Digi IX20 gateway for a remote monitoring setup and I’ve run into a bit of a performance bottleneck that I’m trying to diagnose. Usually, the cellular uplink is very consistent, but I’ve noticed that the edge-processing speed and the web UI responsiveness take a significant hit if the connected local client is under heavy processing stress.

I’ve been doing some stress testing on my local Linux box connected to the IX20 using some blox scripts to simulate high-frequency data packets and background automation tasks. Interestingly, as soon as that background script activity ramps up, my SSH session to the Digi device starts lagging and I’m seeing occasional “Request Timeout” errors in the Digi Remote Manager.

Has anyone else noticed the Digi hardware struggling with packet prioritization when there are other intensive executors or third-party scripts active on the local network segment? I’m trying to figure out if I need to configure a specific QoS rule on the IX20 to ensure the management traffic stays snappy even when the local client is multitasking with high-load tools. I’m also worried about whether this system load could cause the cellular module to reset or drop the PDP context during a critical data transmission.

Any advice on how to optimize the gateway’s resource management to handle these high-load scenarios without losing connectivity to the remote manager would be a huge help!
