Can the Digi XBee-PRO 900HP RF Modems (USB option) be supplied 5V at a higher amperage. If so, what amperage would be required?
The USB RF Modem can be powered via the USB BUS which is 5V. That will put it at about the OEM modules current draw.

If the power requirement to receive is 60 Mamps at 9 volts, which equals .54 watts. Does that mean the amperage at 5 volts is 0.108?
I would say it is more in the lines of 250mA peak (0.25W per volt)
