I have been trying to get the serial ports on some PowerEdge 1850’s running RHEL 3 to communicate with the DigiCM 32. I would like to know if someone of expertise could tell me if this article pertains to what needs to be done on the PowerEdge/Linux side of things to enable Serial port communication with the DigiCM.
This is what fixed the problem. The problem was that DigiCM 32 was not picking up the Linux box while the Sun ones were. Sun boxes by default are configured to provide serial console access.
