DIN and DOUT as DIO

Hi,

Im using XBEE S2C (XB24CAPIT-001) to control some imputs and relays. The module has 12 DIO, but i need 14 for my purpose. I dont need to use UART on those modules, so my question is if it is posible to use the DIN and DOUT as DIO?

Yes they can be. Check the P3 and P4 commands.

Yes it should work the same.

It seems to me that this is possible! But you need to check everything well!

I also used everything XBEE S2C, very comfortable and cool, so this is the best option, in my opinion!
