Dynamic C (any version) and Windows xp x64

I’m having a number of strange difficulties with DC today, and the only thing I can see is that it doesn’t work well in x64. Can anyone confirm or deny that?

Dynamic C 10.09 does work with Vista x32, but you need to “Disable Baud Negotiation” and uncheck Enable Processor verification and Use USB to serial converter. Try doing this with Vista x64

Sorry, after I reread my post, I realize I wasn’t very clear. I was using windows xp x64. x64’s treatment of 32 bit processes appears very slipshod. Even the antivirus program was behaving strangely. I had tried DC 8.2, 8.61 and 9.4 and gotten basically the same results: trouble communicating with the unit, trouble debugging, sometimes trouble even identifying it. (DC was falling back and calling our op7200 a 1810 at one point.)

The point is moot now. This together with other strange behaviour have convinced me to dump it (xp x64) anyways. I’ll keep your advice about vista in mind, though, we have a lot of customer’s who will likely be moving to vista and will come up against this sort of thing. Thank you very much.
