How to ID what I have?

Sorry for posting in a ‘random’ forum. I believe I have ZigBee and that these boards are XBee Series 2 at minimum. I also have Series 1 but those are not the topic of this question. As I know the Series 1 and 2 don’t communicate with each other. The boards have XB24-Z7WIT-004-revD1 or XB24-Z7CIT-004-revF (actually revG also). I’m trying to figure this out so I can get the correct firmware. Then I’ll be able to get the coordinator selected (and downloaded). I may add a router to the group also. So how do I identify these device then how do I pick the firmware?

Oh, they all seem to work fine in AT mode. I’d like the coordinator to work in API mode so I’ll select that firmware when I figure out the rest. I’m communicating with existing thermostats and I need to do a bit of experimenting.

Thanks

The ‘XB24’ is Xbee 2.4Ghz, normal power. ‘XBP24’ would be the PRO/higher power.

‘Z7’ means newer ZigBee 2007 stack, so look for the ‘XB24-ZB’ in XCTU pull-down.

The WIT and CIT and all the other codes refer to the antenna options & build codes unrelated to firmware.

Thanks Lynn, now that I know I have similar units I can now install the coordinator and get playing.
