We are developing an application to monitor a number of devices over a network. Right now, there is no problem identifying devices because we installed them ourselves, but in the future the system will need to be able to identify new devices connected to the network. According tot he documentation the attribute “xaAttributeType” can be used to identify the type of attribute that is being reported, but I can’t seem to find a list of the possible values and their definitions? Can these values be used to identify the type of device, or is there another better way? Or does the proper endpoint and attribute id’s need to be manually entered into the system?
I have no idea what you are talking about - xaAttribute means nothing to me. Can you elaborate a bit more.
