Hi,
I have a couple of XTENT-PKG modems RS-242/485 modems. They are essentially brand new, but haven’t been turned on for a number of months.
One modem works the other doesn’t.
the modem which works, fires up fine, red light comes on and I can communicate and change settings using X-CTU.
The second modem when turned on comes up with either
-three green lights on the right
-three green lights on the right and the red on the left
-or a yellow and green light on the left but no red light
The dip switch settings are 1, 5 and 6 on, 2,3 & 4 off.
I get a “unable to communicate” message with this modem when querying the modem using X-CTU, when the other is plugged in it works fine.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong or how to trouble shoot it would be greatly appreciated.
