I am working on a small IoT project that involves Generative AI, remote monitoring of sensor data, and I am looking into XBee modules. I’ve done some research but honestly, there are so many versions (XBee Series 1, Series 2, Zigbee, WiFi, etc.), and I am feeling a bit lost/confused.
The goal of my project is to have a reliable long-range communication setup (we’re talking about 1-2km distance, if possible) between multiple sensors and a central hub. All the data I am getting through Generative AI.
I am mainly concerned about power efficiency and range. And for the same I have been through these articles/resources XBee vs. Zigbee: A Simple Comparison Guide | Digi International Generative AI Interview Questions that are quite informative. But I’d love to hear more from the community member.
Has anyone here worked with a similar setup? Would love to get some suggestions on which XBee module would be best suited for this.
Also, if there are any tips or things to watch out for during the setup, I’d appreciate the advice.
