NFS Error

I am using the Connect ME 9210 with Digi Embedded Linux development kit. My development machine is running off the live CD that came with the kit.

After building a new kernel and rootfs when I try to boot the target the kernel loads over TFTP just fine but the rootfs won’t mount. I receive this error: “Root-NFS: Server returned error -13 while mounting /exports/nfsroot-cme9210js”.

I have confirmed that nfsroot-cme9210js exists in /exports on the host. I have also confirmed that /exports is in the /etc/exports file.

What could be wrong?

NFS does not work when booting from liveDVD becuase it’s readonly and linux requires rw. You have to install distribution to your harddrive to make it work.
