Sun Fire V445 server, solaris 10
As soon as opens a serial port the carrier detected immediately.The port has not connected modem! why?
The same software does not have the question on Sun Enterprise 3000(solaris 2.6).
What is connected to the port? DCD (carrier) is an in-bound serial signal.
If the attached device is not asserting DCD, then there is a setting forcing it either on the PortServer unit (under set flow) or on the Solaris host (ditty -a /dev/dty/xyz).

The PortServer simply needs to be configured with the device type of RealPort (rp). The rest of the settings should stay at the default values.
