I have a client device that has 2 serial ports (port A and port B ) for redundancy. There are 2 redundant servers that this device will query, each having a backup (servers 1-1 and 1-2 in VLAN1 and servers 2-1 and 2-2 in VLAN2). Port A should always query server 1-1 unless there’s a failure and port B should always query server 2-1 unless there’s a failure. The Digi will need to autoconnect via TCP to establish the initial connection but the serial device will send it’s own “keep-alive” message every 60 seconds to which the server will respond with a success or failure response. If port A receives a failure or loses connection, it should attempt server 1-2, then 2-2. The same logic should apply to a failure on port B. Is this possible with either the Digi One or Digi PortServer TS?
