Replay attack protection

From what I gather, 802.15.4 has optional support for protection against replay attacks. I cannot find anything about this in the Xbee manual or spec sheet, though. Can anyone tell me whether the Xbee 802.15.4 protects against replay attacks?

Thanks.

I’ve never seen a reference to this, unless it’s referring to the encryption feature.

Can you supply a url where replay attacks on the XBee are discussed?

When encryption is enabled in the XBee ZB Zigbee a frame counter is used to guard against any replay attacks. However, this is application layer specific to Zigbee and not used on the XBee 802.15.4 module.

The XBee 802.15.4 does not have this feature.

I don’t have any information about XBee, but I found this paper which talks about 802.15.4 security, including replay attacks:

Thanks. That answers my question.
