Sleeping AIO adapter

Hi,

I want to install a AIO Adapters DigiMesh as an End Device with batteries to send some periodic samples. Is it possible to sleep the adapter when the end device is off power? i.e can I use the sleep commands?

I ask this because I read that on the wiki:

Note: In order for consistent output voltage, the XBee Adapter cannot sleep. Using the power out function of this adapter in conjunction with batteries will result in significant additional battery usage.

, but I found a little useless because, ZigBee is designed to conserve energy and is indispensable in various applications.

Or maybe this means that the adapter cannot sleep between periodic samples.

Yes you can sleep an XBee AIO adapter. Just make sure you are not powering the external Analog device from the XBee’s power source or you will drain the power faster.
