Since the Portserver TS 8 and TS 16 are EOL, we are migrating to ConnectPort devices, as suggested in the EOL notice.
We have a backup of the configuration of our exisiting portservers, and would like to restore these configurations in the new devices.
Is there an upgrade procedure, or upgrade tool available?
I can’t seem to find it on the site, and the EOL notice doesn’t mention it neither.
The backup configuration file is not compatible between the 2 products and the configuration setting commands are a bit different.
You can extract the backup .xml file from the ConnectPort unit and manually modify the settings to match those on the PortServer TS unit to at least have a template to use as a “Restore” file going forward.
