unable to communicate with modem(XBEE STARTER KIT)

hello people, i am facing problem in my XBEE STARTER KIT.
i follow all the instructions in user manual but still i get the message “unable to communicate with modem”. i try to check and uncheck the API mode, but i still get the same result.

Can anyone here tell me what to do in order to solve this problem? Your help is much appreciated.

*based on user manual, the modem type is xb24.

Try with the baud Rate 115200.
