What is the range of XBEE pro S1 device ?? I am not able to get more than 200m in line of sight.

Hi,
I have done range test of ZigBee XBEE Pro s1 module. But I was not able to get more than 200m in the line of sight.

PL TX Power Level: Highest[4].

Depending on the noise in the area, you can get up to 1 mile. In extremely quiet environments such as a desert, up to 2 miles.

What is the exact antenna type you are using?

What kind of addressing function are you using? Unicast or Broadcast?

How high above ALL obstructions are you placing the radio and antenna on both ends?

Thank you MVUT !!
Q: What is the exact antenna type you are using?
ans: RPSMA antenna
Q: What kind of addressing function are you using? Unicast or Broadcast?
ans: Broadcast
Q: How high above ALL obstructions are you placing the radio and antenna on both ends?
ans: I have tested the range of XBee module in play ground, which have 600m radius. and there were no obstacles in-between master and slave device.

Doubts:
your ans: you can get up to 1 mile. In extremely quiet environments such as a desert, up to 2 miles.

Qus : Here 1 mile / 2 mile is a redius or diameter ??

Qus: How can I increase the range of ZIGBEE network. My requirement is, it should be covered 1 mile (not the line of sight). For the same any other external antenna required ??

Try switching to Unicast for the addressing.

Unless the Playground was an OPEN field, it has obstructions. If you want to go 1 mile, then your antennas need to be about 16 ft above ALL items. Including jungle gym, swings Etc.

The distance I listed was a Radius.

You are not going to obtain an Non LOS distance of 1 mi. It is simply not going to happen. What you would need to do is place routers in between the Base and end device. Just know that an S1 module which is what you are using is NOT a Zigbee mesh product but is an 802.15.4 Point to Point, point to multi-point product. So you can’t add routers to extend the range. Your only option is to obtain LOS conditions and if allowed, increase the antenna gain.
