wifi xbee iPhone

i want develop a system that permit connect the arduino to a PC and an iPhone at the same time. In other words, i don’t want any physical connection, only wireless. I’m not sure if is possible because i think that 802.15 and 802.11 work in diferentes frequences.
For exemple, create a small program in android to re-programing arduino, by wireless, not bluetooth.

Can you help me?

I’m trying to do something similar and it’s definitely doable at least I can connect with my ipad to my xbee wifi module and send stuff to it.
Erm silly question, from where does the 802.15 come? Both xbee wifi and iphone/ios use the standard 802.11 as far as I know.

Hello,

I think you are confussing XBee 802.15.4 with XBee Wi-Fi. Both operate in 2.4 GHz frequency bands but use different standards and protocols. So, you can not communicate with an an XBee 802.15.4 through an iPad or iPhone WiFi interface, only with an XBee WiFi.

Best regards,
