XBee Pro International Version: How can i distinguish

How can i distinguish between the XBee Pro 802.15.4 International version (10mW max) and the North America Version (63mW)?

Is the same?

They’re not the same, because in the 10cx product manual the description of the PL command explicitly mentions the international version. But I have no idea how to tell which is which.

Does anybody know?

… please…

Can anyone identify the international version of XBEE Pro (Or distinguish from the USA version)?

Regards…

Manuel.

The non-Pro modules are the same, NA or International, so there is no designator or difference.

For the -Pro modules, check the part number silk-screened on the module. If there’s a J designator after the XBP24 part number, this is an International module.

Oh. So does that mean there’s no way to tell by interrogating the module (eg by separate hardware version ranges)?

It would surprise me if you had to tell X-CTU or whatever program you were using which Pro version you had, so that it could correctly convert the power level setting to a dBm figure.

Ok. Thank you.

But, if the module is the international version, where would the “J”?

These are the text i found on a XPB24 module.

On Top Silkscreen:

FCC ID: OUR-XBEEPRO
IC ID: 4214A-XBEEPRO

On Bottom Silkscreen:

30009732-01 REV A20
(c) DIGI INT’L 2007

On a label, on metal cover at bottom of the module:

CE N15131

0013A200
40484A7F

XBP24-ACI-
001-revB
2008-10-01-15

Where the “J”?

Kind regards,

Manuel.

On that model, I see both the standard and International modules are the same:

J indicates Japanese.
