Hello,

I’ve found that XBee Series 1 radios can be used as serial cable replacements by simply setting the pin on one to input and the corresponding pin on the other XBee to output for digital signals. This works beautifully.

Is there any way to get an analog signal to communicate over an XBee Series 1 to a PWM format without using a microcontroller?

Please let me know.

Since there is no ‘analog output’, the simple I/O forwarding you have seen cannot be used.

One coudl use some form of V-to-F to make it digital, but I am not sure how fast you could send (I have heard 50 messages per second), pulse delivery jitter (variation between sends) would effect any F-to-V trying to recreate the signal.
