I have difficulty in understanding the differences of XBee and ZigBee. Detail explanation would be appreciated. Also Where I can use each of them?

XBee is a proprietary physical layout made by Digi for its radio chips. XBees come in different frequencies and protocols.
ZigBee is a 2.4 GHz RF protocol that is used by many different companies.
