xbib-r-dev board clone

i have the X24-DEV kit with the (1)usb & (1)serial board. i need two more remote XBee’s but don’t need all bells that the xbib-r-dev board has.

are there small xbee 1mW modules ready to go that do not cost much? i guess it can be serial or usb so x-ctu can read/write to it.
