XTend electrical isolation

Does anyone know if the XTend module requires electrical isolation of any of its exposed metal surfaces? For example, do the mounting holes, RF connector housing, shield, and ground plane require electrical isolation from each other? I’m considering mounting the 9XTend flat against an aluminum panel, shield-side up, with no isolation. I’m using the MMCX connector version, so the ground plane side is flush. I don’t care about radio module heat dissipation as I won’t be transmitting in this application.

Sounds like you are referring to the OEM module version. Yes, you do need to use a gasket type of material that will allow the heat through but prevent any shorts from occurring.
