I am using the RCM6700 mini core module on a custom made PCB, using the recommended external circuit to use an external jack RJ45 connector.
I am trying the hardware using a sample code that comes with Dynamic C and I’m having the following problem: when I connect a cross cable between the circuit and the pc, the connection comes and goes. On the PC, Windows tells me that the cable has been disconnected, then connected again, and so on… and at the same time the led on the connector turns off and on.
Actually, the program works, and I can display a webpage, but it works intermitently.
Anyone has any idea what might be happening? Can this be a PCB layout problem?
