About the Router sleep mode in Xctu

After reading this article, I have a question about the router.
When XCTU setting interface, Router an open sleep mode parameter adjustment, but mentioned in that article router is unable to sleep, so why open set? How would after setting?
My test results are router can make it go to sleep when it enters and lose all functionality, when he woke up to work properly, we do not know the test results with you the same?

Simple, Digi was able to put but the End device and Router targets in one firmware file. By doing this, you can switch a module from a router to an End device by simply enabling any of the sleep function in the SM command.
