i have a problem with my Anywhereusb/5, i can`t lock the device with a password by the configurationutility.
One year ago i have installed the same devicetype with an older version (2.3.0) from the configurationutility. In this Version i see the button lock/unlock.
In the newer version (2.60.5.0) i don`t see this feature.
I want to protetecd the anywhereusb from hosts, that shouldn`t get access to it.
Could you give me some information how it works?
The password-protected lock/unlock feature was short-lived.
In order to use that feature, you’ll need to use the older v2.40 AnywhereUSB driver package, which bundles the older config util. Here’s a download link:
Note that the lock/unlock feature is particular to the config util itself (AwUsbCfg.exe) so it MAY be possible to use the older config util with a newer driver package - i.e. by copying/pasting the old AwUsbCfg.exe over the new one - but we don’t necessarily recommend trying that out, and we wouldn’t be able to provide support if that scenario exhibited any problems. You’re welcome to try it out though.
