AnywhereUSB TS 44

Any idea when Realport drivers for Win 2008 R2 will be available?

We don’t have a firm release date but I’m told that a new RealPort driver is being worked on, and it’s high priority. It should add support for all of the newer (now, unsupported) Operating Systems including Server 2008 (and R2 I presume).

One thing you can try so that you can get up and running now, is to use the existing RealPort driver and run it in Compatibility Mode on the Server 2008 R2 machine. If you run the driver in Vista or XP compatibility mode, this should install the driver and get you up and running until the next release of the driver.

Thanks.
That worked.

Update.
That almost worked.
When the realport driver connects, it causes the TS to reboot every 10 seconds.
Any more advice, other than waiting for the 2008 R2 drivers.

That’s a known firmware bug that we recently discovered. Downgrade the TS44 firmware to this version:

ftp://austin:!15st3n!@ftp1.digi.com/temp/82002119_B.dwn

You do that via the web UI of the TS44.

You may need to uninstall/re-install the RealPort driver after, depending on if the reboot behavior continues or not.

Update:

This issue has since been resolved in newer AnywhereUSB TS-44 firmware.
