burned analog inputs

Hello folks,

I recently burned my second analog input of my XBeeSeries2 module.

I am using a simple voltage divider to read a pot position.

Would you mind to check the diagram below? Am I missing something?

What happens if you have 4.2v or even 10v ‘spike’ on your 3.26vdc line?

It looks to me like you wish to measure the VCC supply to something, but you need to understand that some power circuits ‘spike’ a fraction of a millisecond during either start-up or shutdown. That might be causing your problem.

You might need to add a simple zener diode as over-voltage protection.
