my connectcard imx28js has the option to enter a DNS Server IP in the bootloader. Regardless, the card is not accessable in my network using the hostname i can only use the IP adress.
The IP adress of the network server is correct - its an FritzBox and the the same as the DHCP.
On the overview of available member of my network, there apears just the IP adress of my connectcard. Every other member shows a hostname.
Can someone help me? Thanks

Are you using Digi Embedded Linux or Digi Embedded Yocto?
In any case DNS server IP address on ccwimx28 allows your module to reslove hosts by name. For example you can ping wwww.google.com and it will find it’s IP address. It does nothing to your external DNS server. You would have to manualy create an entry in your DNS server for the IP of the card and the hostname you wish to assign to it. You are looking for DynDNS functionality, which is not implemented by default.
