Configure multiple VLAN's on Digi EX50

I am looking for help/guide on setting up multiple VLAN’s on a Digi EX50.
I am using the Digi as Gateway and DHCP server to Ruckus 7150 12 port switch.

I see where to add the VLAN’s (screenshot attached), but how do I assign IP addresses to the newly created VLAN’s? Any help is appreciated.

I would suggest submitting a Case for Digi Support at my.digi.com or Technical Support | Digi International or looking in the manual at Digi EX50 User Guide

The IP assignment is done by creating a network interface for the VLAN. See documentation and video links below for details:

The video is not for an ex50, this video has 4 ports and ex50 has 2.

Beating my brains out for a week now and any help is appreciated

The same configuration steps can be performed on the EX50, selecting the LAN Ethernet port for the VLAN and network interfaces instead of ETH4 as noted in the video

These are my settings and it will not give out anything except for 10.0.0 addresses.

I don’t see an updated screenshot or list of settings in your recent reply. Below is an example configuration setup for two VLANs on the EX50’s LAN Ethernet port. I’ve highlighted the interface for each VLAN separately, one green and one blue, so you can see how the VLAN relates to the interface.

If you need troubleshooting assistance beyond this, please contact our Digi support team for configuration guidance.

I appreciate all the help and have one last question.

I go to details in remote manager, I see all my vlan interfaces show down when I click on status and I verified they show enabled under settings..

Any ideas on that?

What device do you have selected for the VLANs under Network → Virtual LAN section of the configuration? You should have the LAN Ethernet port selected, this way the VLANs get associated with that specific Ethernet port. Example:

It was pointing to the VLAN ID (VLAN 10 Employees) I switched device to LAN and I have that VLAN showing up now but not giving me an IP address. I added static IP (Laptop 10.0.10.50 / Subnet 255.255.255.0 / Gateway 10.0.10.1) address to my laptop for VLAN 10 and am able to ping the VLAN gateway and browse internet if I add static DNS.

Do I need a switchport bridge or should I delete it? I got the idea to create that from the user guide I believe.

Do you have the DHCP server enabled under the NetworkInterfacesVLAN 10 → IPv4 → DHCP Server configuration section?

A support report from the EX50 would help provide all of the configuration settings from the device if that is something you could post here. Below are details on how to obtain a support report from the EX50:

I do have DHCP enabled on all VLAN’s.

I notice in your last image that the VLAN zone is set to any and your previous images show it set at internal. Which way should I set the zone and could that cause DHCP no to work?

I tried posting support file in forum, but it would not let me upload the bin file.

I have attached it to this email

(Attachment digi-support-00409DDDF655-25.12.09-21.37.27.bin is missing)

Sending support file again with .bin extension renamed to .png to see if that works. Hopefully you get the file and can rename the extension back to bin.

I am unable to attach or email my support file. I even tried renaming and adding to a zip.

Any other way to get the file to you?

That was a mistake on my part when re-setting up the configuration on my device. The zone for the VLAN should typically be set to Internal

As for getting the support report to Digi for analysis and additional troubleshooting, it looks like you’ll need to contact Digi support. If you open a case, you can include the support report there.
